Looking for some good games? For a creative ways to teach a lesson for Religious Ed? Just need a place to veg out and say "phew! Someone outside of the parish to talk to!"? It's Not A Sin If We Simply Change The Rules!

My brother sent me a link to this article. What doofuses! (Would the plural be doofi?)

Seriously. I think "U.S. Catholic" really means to say "US Catholic".

And, promptly, Archbishop Curtiss of Omaha severed tied between the Archdiocese and the Center for Marriage and Family at Creighton University. (note: the Archbishop did not sever all ties with CU, just this one center)

Of course, the academic elite freaked out and began the moaning and gnashing of teeth which we have all come to expect from them. Speaking as a graduate student at Creighton (in the education department, not theology), I applaud the Archbishop's decision and encourage people to read the story from the diocesan paper explaining it:

(forgot my second point) Of course, if these professors were serious in their academic affairs, this whole paper would have been published FIRST in an academic, peer-reviewed journal. NOT a popular circulation one. Hm, can any deductions be made about its academic validity based on its lack of proper vetting? I make no conclusions, but ask the question only.
I hope someone gave that paper a really good fisking.

Perhaps 5000 year old rules are now out of context, especially considering that our lifespans are twice as long.
